First off, the test taker must be at least sixteen years of age and not be currently enrolled in a high school to be eligible for the GED test. Once a specific testing site has been decided on, the individual should contact the testing center or sign up on the testing center’s online web site (if that service is provided) for the date and times of the tests they want to take. Keep in mind, some locations require test takers to complete the GED in one sitting, while other locations are more lenient and allow the test to be taken over multiple days. People generally perform better if their tests are spread out, so it recommended for people to find a testing center that allows them to do that.
Once registration for the GED test is complete and all the fees are paid, the individual can expect to receive a registration kit in the mail. The kit will contain information about the test and the materials test takers need to bring along to the testing center on the day of the GED test.
